FarFaria and Education.com Offer Free Storytime Apps to 10,000 Southern California Teachers

FarFaria, a children’s storytime app for iPad and Android has partnered with Education.com, a parenting and education resource, to give 10,000 Southern California teachers a year of unlimited access to FarFaria’s app for. In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, the giveaway will provide teachers and their students access to FarFaria’s library of more than 700 children’s books for kids ages 2 through 9.

“As a child, my love for reading was sparked by my teachers who gave me access to so many amazing stories,” said Ajay Godhwani, CEO and co-founder of FarFaria. “This giveaway is a way of giving back and saying ‘thank you’ to teachers everywhere who give so much everyday, and we’re thrilled to be working with Education.com to make the next generation a generation of readers.”

“The research is clear,” said Danielle Wood, editor-in-chief of Education.com, which has more than six million visitors a month. “Children who read for pleasure are likely to do significantly better at school than their peers. When you can go beyond the mechanics of teaching kids to read, and help them develop a true passion for reading, that’s where the magic happens.”

FarFaria’s story-discovery experience and features like “Read-to-Me” are designed to encourage children to develop a lifelong love of reading. Every teacher in Southern California is invited to take part in FarFaria’s Teacher Giveaway by clicking here.
