Britannica School Adds ImageQuest Searches

Britannica Digital Learning has integrated its Britannica ImageQuest database with its classroom information tool, Britannica School.

As a result of the integration, subscibers to both services will now be able to search ImageQuest's collection of nearly 3 million images directly from within Britannica School. Users can now undertake integrated searches for articles, magazines, primary source documents and high-quality, rights-cleared images.

"It makes perfect sense to integrate access to these two resources," said Michael Ross, general manager of Britannica Digital Learning and a senior vice president at Encyclopaedia Britannica, Iin a prepared statement. "Students today are expected to demonstrate 'visual literacy' along with reading comprehension, and to incorporate text and relevant images into reports, papers, and projects. ImageQuest gives them a vast trove of additional images for every subject and shows them how to cite visual content properly."
