YouTube for iOS Update Supports Google Cardboard

The latest release for iOS now has full Cardboard support, enabling any YouTube video to be viewed in VR mode.

YouTube added virtual reality (VR) support for Android users last November, and now the video hosting site announced that its latest update for iOS allows users to view any video in VR mode on Google Cardboard.

With the YouTube 11.18 for iOS update, users can open the app and tap the three-dot “More” icon in the top right corner of any video to view it in VR mode. The new functionality can either be used to watch 360-degree content or watch regular YouTube videos in a movie theater-equivalent viewing using Google Cardboard.

Further information about YouTube 11.8 for iOS is available on the iTunes store.
