K-12 curriculum courseware publisher American Education Corp. has released eight updated science courses for its A+nyWhere Learning System (A+LS). The courses are targeted toward grades 1 through 8.

A+LS is a K-12 e-learning solution covering both core subjects and electives, including anthropology, art appreciation, health, humanities, lifetime fitness, sociology, psychology, career essentials, and personal finance. The system as a whole provides more than 5,200 lessons, as well as assessments, curriculum management tools, alignment management tools, prescriptions, and reporting capabilities. It includes some 200,000 pages of courseware.

The new versions of the science courses--The Sciences I-VIII--have received updates in the areas of UI, content, and alignment to standards for elementary school and middle school science. The courses are aligned to the National Science Education Standards and to individual state standards. According to the company, "These titles were written specifically to prepare students for science testing as required by NCLB."
