Phat Math Debuts Math-Focused Social Network

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Miami-based Phat Math has launched a new online social network designed to promote math and financial literacy among students. Billed as a "math edutainment social network," phatmath.com incorporates activities and chat features to provide help with math homework free for students.

Phatmath.com includes dozens of chat rooms for K-12 math topics and allows users to post problems in these rooms. Users can browse the problems and, where applicable, the solutions. The site also provides users chances to win prizes based on social networking. And it includes blog postings for teachers, parents, and administrators.

Students can register and access the site for free. For educators and parents, there's a $25 registration fee.
