Virginia District Adopts Angel Learning Management System

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Frederick County Public Schools in Virginia has adopted the Angel Learning Management Suite in an effort to provide electronic learning resources to students and meet it goal of providing 21st century tools to teachers and students for collaboration, assessment, and learning outcomes management.

Angel LMS is a learning management system designed for both K-12 and higher ed. It provides teaching and learning tools; course development, delivery, and management features; warehousing, reporting, and learning outcomes management; and discussion forums and other interactive features.

"Today's students think and learn differently," said Rod Carnill, an FCPS instructional technology resource specialist, in a prepared statement. "As educators, we're addressing these differences by providing students the 21st Century tools they need in the safe, secure Angel environment. The Angel Learning Management Suite is easy for our teachers to use and provides collaboration and assessment capabilities that will engage students as well as measure their progress in real-time."

FCPS serves some 13,000 students in 18 schools and three learning centers in northwestern Virginia. The Angel LMS deployment went live earlier this month.
