Achieve3000 Adds Science Units to Instructional Resources

Achieve3000 has announced the addition of a new collection of science units to its differentiated instructional resources offerings. The program offers a range of resources designed to help educators impart fundamental scientific concepts and science vocabulary to students.

Acting on recommendations from a recent report by the Carnegie Corporation of New York-Institute for Advanced Study Commission on Mathematics and Science Education, the Achieve3000 science units include articles featuring real-world content, as well as visual graphics, Web resources, and video and hands-on science activities. In addition, the content is designed to engage and improve 21st-century skills such as critical thinking and digital literacy, as well as reading comprehension and writing skills.

The Lakewood, NJ-based company's programs are divided into KidBiz, for grades 2 through 5, and TeenBiz, for grades 6 through 12, and all of its content focuses on student development in language arts education and is differentiated according to reading level using its proprietary software engine.

The company also announced that it has added Haitian-Creole language support to both its KidBiz and TeenBiz programs, which provides both text and audio support for students who are native Haitian-Creole speakers and learning to read and write in English.
