Brief: Online Global Ed Conference Focuses on Connected Classrooms

The first-annual Global Education Conference kicked off this week. Through Friday, Nov. 19, events will be streamed live for free and without formal registration via the Elluminate interactive platform.

Organized by the Global Education Collaborative and Classroom 2.0, the event will include "387 sessions and 60 keynote addresses from 62 countries. Sessions will be held in multiple time zones and multiple languages over the five days," according to information released by organizers. "Sessions throughout the week will be divided among six different tracks: Teacher Track; Student Track; Curriculum Track; Policy and Leadership Track; Global Issues Track; Learning 2.0 Track. The keynote presentations will address a number of issues in 21st Century education and globally connected classrooms. "
