McGraw Hill Updates SRA Number Worlds for Common Core

McGraw-Hill Education has updated SRA Number Worlds, its preK-8 math intervention program, to make it fully align to the Common Core State Standards. The new edition, which is currently rolling into classrooms around the country, was built to the Common Core, with the aim of providing students greater depth of knowledge in key math topics and helping them learn how to apply mathematics to solve real-world problems.

The program also integrates Building Blocks — a collection of 200 interactive activities that are powered by an adaptive engine — to personalize learning for each student. Students can move through the program at their own pace. The Building Blocks management system allows teachers to track student progress and customize assignments based on skill level.

The new SRA Number Worlds provides ongoing project-based learning designed to spark collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity. The program uses interactive games, embedded activities, videos and animations to engage students. Teachers can access digital planning tools to map out their lessons, Common Core resources and online assessments; reports help them track student progress.
