Amplify Introduces a System to Personalize PD

Amplify has introduced Professional Learning Maps, a new system designed to personalize educators’ professional development. The system starts with a diagnostic survey to help educators analyze their instructional practices. Based on the survey results, interactive maps show each educator his or her areas of strength and need. Professional Learning Maps then charts sequences of PD content that is delivered through both online, learn-at-your-own-pace modules and targeted in-person group sessions led by school leaders and Amplify coaches.

According to the company, Professional Learning Maps will expand to help educators Implement new standards for ELA and math, Integrate technology into classroom instruction and support parent and family engagement.

Starting in January and for a limited time, Amplify will offer Professional Learning Maps to first-time users for $1,000 per school for one month. Normally $4,000 per school, the license fee includes the Web-based diagnostic survey, interactive maps and differentiated PD for leaders and educators.
