Barracuda MDM Now Supports Android Operating Systems

Barracuda Mobile Device Manager (MDM) now supports Android operating systems. Barracuda MDM allows users to do the following:

  • Configure mobile devices to include passcode policies, functionality restrictions, e-mail/Exchange Active Sync, authentication credentials and WiFi/VPN/proxy access;
  • manage app store;
  • monitor installed apps
  • flag unauthorized apps for follow-up;
  • wipe or lock stolen devices; and
  • change security and access policies.

Users can access Barracuda MDM through the Barracuda Cloud Control portal, and can push mobile apps such as Barracuda Safe Browser, Barracuda Copy and CudaSign by Barracuda down to mobile devices, allowing IT administrators to enforce browsing policies, improve workflow and manage the document-signing process.

Barracuda MDM is free for existing Barracuda customers. Once a service account is provisioned, mobile devices can be enrolled with the service from any location. Administrators can send users an e-mail invitation with enrollment information through the service.
