Macromedia Captivate

MacromediaMacromedia (www.macromedia.com) has just released a new presentation tool called Captivate, formerly RoboDemo, which allows users to easily create professional-quality, interactive simulations and software demonstrations in the Flash format. Without any programming knowledge or multimedia skills, teachers and trainers can automatically record on-screen actions and add e-learning interactions such as data-entry fields and customizable quizzes. The small file size and high resolution make Captivate content ideal for application training, user-support tutorials and online product demonstrations, whether delivered online or on a CD. Used together with Macromedia Breeze, the programs provide a robust technology solution to bring understanding and retention to students of rapid training and e-learning solutions. In addition, Captivate produces printable handouts and Section 508-compliant content, ensuring accessibility for students with disabilities.
