Cisco Systems haslaunched Packetville(www.cisco.com/go/packetville), a free eLearningWeb portal rich with interactiveand educational resources thatintroduces students aged 8-14 tothe wonders of the Internet as itrelates to math, science, realworldsolutions, education, andcareers. With the help ofanimated characters Peter andPenny Packet, the portal incorporates“gaming” techniques tointroduce and connect studentsto IT, while getting them toexplore how IT helps individualsand communities worldwide.Packetville also includes avariety of teaching aids, lessonplans, and other valuableresources mapped to ISTE standardsfor parents, administrators,instructors, and guidancecounselors.
