Games Aim to Improve Children's Skills

LearningSoft has launched a free Web site for children, www.gamebrain.com, with entertaining activities based on national education standards. When a child registers on the site, he or she will be given games containing curricula that match his or her age level. The site can track the student's reaction time and the number of correct and incorrect answers, and can adjust game content as the child improves or falls back. Educators can also incorporate their own specific courseware into the existing animated site via an easy-to-use interface. Monthly progress reports will help teachers and parents track the child's skill levels. The site automatically adjusts to the user's computer environment and bandwidth, and is free of charge. GameBrain.com fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. LearningSoft, Miami, FL, www.gamebrain.com.
