Control Desktop On Novell Networks

A Windows enabler for ICLAS and Novell networks, LAN-TOP allows the system administrator to create group icons and transfer applications and users to those icons. Users cannot access items or icons not associated with their group, thereby maintaining network integrity. The program integrates directly with IBM's ICLAS and SchoolView systems and also runs in a stand-alone mode. It works on any Novell network, including 4.x with Bindery Emulation. LAN-TOP can be used to restrict program execution by blocking access to the Run dialog box; keep users from closing an application by disabling Exit and Close functions; remove the File Menu option from menu choices; and prevent changes to the system's PROGMAN.INI file.
