Corel Announces Academic Program

Corel Corp. announced its premiere Academic Program, which gives North American training centers, students, faculty and educational institutions the opportunity to purchase shrink-wrapped product directly through authorized academic resellers. The Academic Product Line consists of CorelDRAW 5, CorelDRAW 6, Corel Office Professional for Windows 3.1x and Windows 95, Corel Visual CADD, CorelCAD and Corel Ventura 6, each at an SRP of $139. In addition, Corel WordPerfect Suite for Windows comes in an academic version (without Envoy) for an SRP of $39.
Qualified institutions can also purchase volume licensing under the CLP Choice program without signing a contract with Corel. Finally, the Subscription Licensing program lets larger institutions select either a faculty-only or campus-wide subscription for academic versions of Corel WordPerfect for DOS, Macintosh, UNIX, Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.
