SIS Uses Internet to Reach Parents

ISIS (Internet Student Information System) is an Internet-based SIS designed to link teachers with parents, administrators, government agencies and other entities that wish to access student records. To participate, parents only need a computer, modem, Internet access and an ISIS account, obtained through the school's web site. Regardless of their location, parents could communicate electronically with school personnel or check their children's attendance, grades, test scores or homework assignments. Parents simply click on a teacher's name, as listed in the Mail Center, to send e-mail. The ISIS Administrator software, which runs in the background on a Windows 95 PC, lets one determine who can view certain records. EduLink Systems, Orange, CA, (714) 289-6980.
