K12TechPro, a community for technology professionals in education, has introduced the K12TechPro Cybersecurity Hub, a collection of resources designed to bolster cybersecurity in K-12 education. The hub's tools, discussions, and information resources are built on the expertise of K12TechPro's 1,000-plus members, the organization said in a news announcement.

Features of the Cybersecurity Hub include:

  • Cybersecurity Talk, a space for peer discussions and best practices;
  • Security Watch, a weekly cyber threat intelligence newsletter;
  • Anonymous Tips, a secure way to report incidents confidentially;
  • Challenges & Coins, cybersecurity skill-building activities;
  • Community Vitals, professional development focused on cybersecurity;
  • SOC services available at consortium pricing; and
  • Training and networking opportunities.

The hub will also feature links to live CISA Advisories and other cybersecurity feeds, as well as survey reports on cybersecurity and data governance.

"Our mission has always been to provide a collaborative space for K-12 tech professionals to connect and support one another," said Chris Warden, co-founder of K12TechPro, in a statement. "With cyber threats targeting schools more than ever, the Cybersecurity Hub helps give members access to the resources and community they need to protect their districts."
