Late Breaks - AT&T

A $1 million grant from AT&T will support a new initiative to help bridge the digital divide in underprivileged communities. The Education Development Center (EDC) will use the grant to develop and deliver technology training for teachers and high school students. The Online Professional Development Institute will train teams of teachers to use technology to improve teaching and learning. The teams will become leaders in their school districts and train other teachers in the use of technology. EDC will also provide a technology and leadership training program.
