CD-ROM Drive Includes Built-In Stereo System

The ProMedia Player combines a 4-watt amplified stereo sound system and an MPC Level 2 dual-speed CD-ROM drive in a compact unit weighing less thaN three pounds. The device plugs into a portable computer's PCMCIA Type 2 socket. Auto-install software keeps the slot alive when switching to other PCMCIA peripherals. Built-in speakers are provided, as are headphone and microphone jacks. The ProMedia Reader offers the same features without the built-in sound system or speakers.
