New Package Introduces Principles of Economics

Integrating video, software and printed materials, Economics: Choices & Challenges is organized into 16 modules that present the principles of economics found in a typical one-semester course. Live-action video vignettes (on VHS cassette or videodisc) explore the realities behind common economic myths. After viewing the vignettes, individuals or groups move into Concept Explorer software for further investigation. Content is reinforced with SuperGrapher graphing and problem-solving software. Finally, the Student Handbook explains specific principles, theories and vocabulary. A Teacher's Program Planner includes suggestions for LEP and Spanish speakers. Over 50 full-color transparencies can be used throughout lessons. McDougal Littell/Houghton Mifflin, Evanston, IL, (800) 323-5435. WM
