Unit Combines CD-ROM And Optical Disc Drives

PowerDrive2 teams a rewritable 650MB optical disc and 4X CD-ROM in one drive unit that is compatible with multiple computer platforms, including Mac System 7, DOS/Windows and UNIX. Its single-loading tray mechanism accommodates both types of discs, allowing one to easily store and retrieve data onto optical media, or read common CD-ROM formats. Internal and external models are available; both are SCSI-2 compatible. Phase Change Technology, researched and developed by Matsushita Electric, provides for a compact and highly reliable optical disc drive. An automatic dust cleaning and air filtering system withstands varying environments, and an automatic lens cleaning mechanism continually removes harmful debris.
