NSAE Standards Being Adopted Across US

According to the Summer '95 Special Report of the American Music Conference (AMC), the nation is slowly edging closer to educational standards resembling those presented in the National Standards for Arts Education released in March of '94. The report notes that strong activity such as reviewing and drafting new Arts Standards is occurring in 43 states. A state-by-state account of the status of the implementation of the Arts Standards is also presented in the four-page report. AMC offers a wide variety of tools and materials to support the implementation of National Standards for Arts Education; a catalog is available and additional materials may be ordered through the AMC's Web site: www.tmn. com/øh/Artswire/www/AMC/AMC.html.
