Series Helps Educators Improve Their Schools

Effective Schools is a series of videos released by The Video Journal of Education that highlights the "seven attributes of effective schools." The videotapes feature internationally recognized experts who address the latest concepts and theories to improve staff development. Dr. Lawrence W. Lezotte, one of the original researchers in this subject, is presenter in Volume Four/Issue Eight and explores the seven attributes: a safe and orderly environment, high expectations for success, instructional leadership, a clear and focused mission, an opportunity to learn, frequent monitoring of student projects, and home/school relationships.
