Solve Math Problems, Search for Treasure

Developed and tested to correlate with NCTM standards, Mystery Math Island invites students in grades 3 through 8 to search for buried treasure in paradise while solving various mathematics problems.

High scores and student progress can be saved and printed as a record of achievement. Six areas are covered: geometry, measurement, data, number sense and operation, patterns, and problem solving.

Learners work alone or in groups to accumulate gold, buy tools and dig their treasure up. Lab packs and site licenses are available. Lawrence Productions, Galesburg, MI, (800) 421–;4157. WM
