Iomega Launches Major Initiative for Ed.

Iomega launched an initiative to provide extensive support, services and product bundles specifically tailored to the education market. IomegaSmart consists of five distinct programs aimed at students, teachers and administrators at all grade levels. For example, ioMegaReady helps computer labs and libraries deal with diminishing computer hard drive space. And ioMegaStuff offers campus activities and promotions. Other programs assemble software/hardware bundles tailored to education and provide marketing and sales support to channel partners. The firm's high-capacity Zip drives can be used to back up student papers, download information from the Internet or store multimedia presentations.
