Society Promotes Technology Literacy

The mission of the American Technology Honor Society (ATHS) is to promote and recognize in students technological literacy, scholarship, service and leadership. Any secondary public or private school can apply to become a charter member to support ATHS' mission on their campus.

Sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and the Technology Student Association (TSA), the ATHS encourages chapters to establish training programs for the faculty and community, strengthen the school's relationships with business and industry, and provide a student mentor program.

Students may qualify for one of three levels of membership -- candidate, associate and scholar -- based on their technology literacy, scholarship, service and leadership.

NASSP, Reston, VA, (703) 860-0200.
