Put Library Catalog on Web Server

WorldPAC enables library professionals to place their online public access catalog (OPAC) on the Internet, where it can be viewed using any graphical Web browser such as Mosaic. The software sports a point-and-click GUI for browsing a catalog by author, titles or subject indexes. A "hit count" indicates how many records match a specified index term. WorldPAC automatically wraps MARC records with an HTML script, for uploading on a Web server. No HTML programming knowledge is required. Library staff may customize the introductory screen to include information such as the hours of operation. The product supports up to 100,000 record collections, and offers Roman language translation options. Data Trek, Inc., Carlsbad, CA, (800) 876-5484, www.datatrek.com.
