Language Program Teaches Naturally

Rated one of the "50 Best CD-ROMs" by MacUser and one of the "Top 100 CDs" by PC Magazine, The Rosetta Stone Language Library replicates the give and take of learning that occurs when a native language is acquired: words become associated with objects and ideas because they are introduced in a context where meaning is clear and reinforcement is immediate. The program uses thousands of carefully selected pictures to create a context of meaning, eliciting students' responses and giving instant feedback, confirming that comprehension has taken place. While The Rosetta Stone can be entered at any point, it has been developed as a carefully sequenced process -- as words build to phrases, sentences and dialogs, new vocabulary and syntax are progressively integrated in a systematic, natural flow. The software offers features such as a browser, voice recording and playback, dictation, tutorials and scoring and testing modes. Also available is a Student Management System, to help teachers track student progress and to control both the content and the manner in which material is learned. The System records student data to a designated computer where teachers can analyze it to set proficiency levels, print reports and more. The Rosetta Stone Language Library is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Dutch, Italian, Chinese and Japanese.
