Digital Resellers May Take Online Courses

UOL Publishing and Digital Equipment Corp. have agreed to jointly create an online version of the hardware manufacturerís sales certificate course. The DIGITAL Virtual Campus (DVC), debuting this month, will offer Web-based training to all sales channel partners.

Specifically, personnel can complete six one-hour modules related to the sale of Digitalís scaleable Alpha and Intel workstations. UOL receives the full tuition for the courses. The two firms also plan to review other courses that could be offered to the Digital sales channel.

UOL acquires, converts and develops course content for delivery over the Internet and intranets. Many academic institutions have established partnerships with UOL to expand training options for part-time students and working adults. UOL Publishing, Inc., McLean, VA, (703) 893-7800, www.uol.com.
