Telco Assists Schools in Telecom Funding

US WEST's expanded US WEST Connected Schools program provides school districts in its 14-state region with expert advice, technical plans and customer support aimed at helping schools secure their share of the $2.25 billion in federal funds (Universal Service Discounts)TARGET TO BRITTAIN AUG FEATURE earmarked at connecting schools to the Internet. This includes free counseling and free sample technical plans and RFP templates to use in assembling application plans. With US WEST's help, applying for funding will become much easier since they have cut through the red tape and technical jargon.
