Late Breaks

In Austin, Texas Education Agency invited 500 technology and curriculum vendors to an April 26 gathering to highlight its plan to fund 25 pilot programs using existing and cutting edge technology to deliver instruction. The gathering provided input to the Agency about the type of technology projects that should be solicited. The pilot projects use a variety of innovative technologies, such as laptop computers and two-way audio-visual distance learning. MGT of America, Inc. assists in designing and implementing the pilot programs. T.H.E. Institute and Publishers Resource Group serve as subcontractors to MGT.
