Riso

RISO's new SC7700 System Controller, a top-of-the-line high speed RIP (Raster Image Processor) that processes data directly to the Risograph for fast printing. It also offers the capability of scanning from any desktop on the network and is a certified Adobe PostScript Level III device. This assures accurate printing of PostScript fonts and improved halftone reproduction. Utilizing TWAIN scanning, images of up to 11" x 17" can be scanned directly into a TWAIN-compatible software application or saved as a TIFF file to the hard drive or disk.

The SC7700 incorporates new features that make printing to the Risograph directly from PC/compatibles and Macintosh/compatibles or a network easier and more reliable. 32MB standard memory, expandable to 64MB allows the system to be custom-designed to meet individual requirements. Adobe PostScript Level 3 ensures the highest level of PostScript compatibility. Print job status can be monitored directly from the desktop with the RISO Console Utility program. A Print Dialog Box enables users to control many of the Risograph panel settings directly from their computers.

Also featured are 193 resident fonts and 950MB of hard disk space for font storage. ECP Parallel Support enables users with no network connection to make the best use of the fast processing capabilities. RISO, Danvers, MA, (978) 777-7377, www.riso.com.
