New Products - FR3950a Risograph

From RISO, Inc. comes the FR3950a Risograph, a digital duplicator with a fully integrated system controller that enables simple, direct connection to a PC or Mac. The FR3950a prints color images quickly and economically, with improved image processing and high performance ink. A multi-up function allows printing of 2, 4, 8 or 16 images on a page. Several accessories are available to complement the RISO system, such as additional system controllers, a high-capacity sorter, a variable-information addressing unit, a sequential numbering system, and a device that slits, scores, perforates and numbers all in one pass.

The digital printing system blends the technologies of digital scanning, state-of-the-art electronics, and high-speed printing. It prints in 18 different spot colors at speeds of up to 120 copies per minute, for virtually the same cost as black-and-white duplication. Risographs consume less electricity than photocopying machines and easily handle diverse paper stocks. RISO, Inc., Danvers, MA, (978) 777-7377, www.riso.com.
