New Products - HP DeskJet 350

The HP DeskJet 350 mobile printer from Hewlett-Packard offers educators a balance of features including fast operation, good print quality, compact size, low weight, rugged design and support for major operating systems. Its ink cartridges can withstand extreme temperatures and altitude changes without leaking, and can generate up to 485 pages of black text and 155 pages of color.

Producing up to 5 ppm (pages per minute) in black and 2 ppm in color, the printer offers speed and quality. Black text printing is at a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, and color images are at 600 x 300 dpi. HP ColorSmart II technology optimizes color images to generate vivid output. Exclusive HP smart software includes LaserJet margin emulation for documents that have been formatted for HP's LaserJet printers. A special photocopy/fax print mode is also available for generating documents optimized for copying and faxing.

The printer's built-in NiMH battery charges in one hour and 40 minutes with no memory effect. This can power the printing of 130 pages of black text in normal mode. An IrDA-compliant infrared adapter is available for wireless use, and the printer also features a 30-page sheet feeder for convenient, hands-free operation.
