New Products - Toshiba's Simply Mobile

A wireless, portable computer lab for the classroom, Toshiba's Simply Mobile gives students the ability to use their notebook computers anytime, anywhere on campus without the need for an electrical connection. In addition, there are no extra wires needed for Internet/intranet access. Students can access the school's network connection wirelessly. Since a dedicated classroom is not required, the solution frees schools from traditional space-consuming desktop-based computer labs.

Simply Mobile ships with 15 Toshiba notebook computers, extra batteries and battery chargers, a wireless access point and 15 PCMCIA wireless network cards. The cart, designed by Bretford, is fully wired and ready for use. Toshiba also offers a non-wired version for schools intending to use the cart for secure storage only.
