New Releases...DVD-V7400

Pioneer New Media Technologies has introduced the DVD-V7400 Industrial DVD-Video player to teachers, and is providing free online lesson plans that integrate DVD technology into core curriculum subject areas, such as science and social studies. The DVD-V7400 features a compact design and easy setup, and fits comfortably on a small stand in the front of any classroom, along with a television monitor, keyboard and mouse. The player can read bar codes and search to a particular point on a DVD-Video disc, enabling teachers and students to scan pre-printed codes available in teacher’s guides and supplements that accompany a variety of educational DVDs. When the bar codes are scanned, the DVD-V7400 takes users directly to the corresponding information on the disc.Pioneer New Media Technologies has introduced the DVD-V7400 Industrial DVD-Video player to teachers, and is providing free online lesson plans that integrate DVD technology into core curriculum subject areas, such as science and social studies. The player also features a video blackboard component that allows teachers to highlight specific information with a mouse and to place graphics over important elements on the video being shown. The RS-232C interface permits a keyboard and mouse to be connected directly to the front of the DVD-Video player. Using a mouse and keyboard, students and teachers can draw or place graphics and text atop video on the classroom monitor without permanently altering the information on the disc. Its durability makes it a good fit in the classroom, and Pioneer’s educational Web site, at www.tools4teachers.com, strives to assist teachers with classroom use of DVD technology.
