Polaroid's New Merlin 460 and 340 Electronic White Boards

Designed to enhance any presentation, Polaroid's new Merlin 460 and 340 Electronic White Boards allow users to save, print, fax, e-mail and teleconference ideas to desired Web site locations, or for future distribution. The 460 measures 67" x 47" and the 340 measures 47" x 39.6", making either board well-suited for classroom settings. Both electronic whiteboards offer users the ability to teleconference with remote participants and save written text or ideas in real-time to their PCs. This technology allows students to receive notes, charts or graphs, even if they are unable to attend class. In addition, the boards can send any printed, e-mailed or faxed material to any Web site using a standard Web browser.

The boards transform into touch-sensitive projection screens for most computer presentations. Operating with a standard LCD projector, these boards project many PC applications, including PowerPoint and Excel. With the touch of a button, they allow users to switch between board and screen. In addition, the system's multiple board tilting allows users to connect up to four Polaroid white boards from one computer, creating up to 20 feet of active writing space.
