Program Delivers Multimedia Educational Content

SVE & Churchill Media have introduced e-learning Modules, called eLMods, which are Web-enabled programs that combine curriculum-oriented content with network-friendly delivery. The core content of the program can be delivered from a CD-ROM for use on an individual computer, or loaded onto a network for school-wide use. This content, which would normally require a high bandwidth connection, is then readily available for use through a familiar browser interface. Optional Internet links offer enhanced features, such as access to approved Web resources and links to related articles. If user bandwidth accommodates the delivery, eLMods can be delivered entirely online with no CD-ROM necessary.

The modules include smooth video, scrolling text, synched audio, and hyperlinked activities. The program’s benefits include pre- and post-use assessments with performance tracking, a custom presentation feature to allow educators to adapt content to their specific needs, and a powerful search feature.
