The Digital Frog 2

Teachers can now avoid messy, expensive frog dissections by allowing their students to complete a virtual dissection with The Digital Frog 2. This is the latest version of the award-winning frog dissection, anatomy and ecology program. This frog-friendly software engages students with a fully interactive dissection by allowing students to dissect an entire frog with a "digital scalpel" that lets them see their incisions with full-screen video. Animations and activities show students how the frog's body works - from blood pumping through the heart to joints that can be built up and moved by the user.

The program includes full-motion videos, animations, sounds, narration and in-depth text and still images. The "Anatomy" module provides easy-to-access research and comparisons to human anatomy. The "Ecology" section gives students insight into species diversity, frog calls, behavior and the life cycle. Digital Frog also features a student workbook and teacher's guide, which has lesson plans and teaching suggestions. Digital Frog International, (800) 621-FROG, www.digitalfrog.com.
