TCEA Touts Renewed Enthusiasm for Technology's Future in Education

"20/20 Foresight" is the theme of this year's Texas Computer Education Association's Conference and Expo, being held Feb. 2-6 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. The theme inspires educators to look to the future to see a new vision for technology. It also inspires a renewed enthusiasm for professional development, technical standards and a commitment to the future.

TCEA 2004 will feature hundreds of free sessions offering information on the latest hardware and software, as well as hands-on workshops for professional development. In addition, Intel Innovation in Education will host a free professional development session where they will train educators to go out into their communities to instruct other teachers and administrators in innovative uses of technology.

The conference's opening keynote speaker, Daniel Burrus, will impart to attendees the knowledge he learned along the way as one of the world's leading technology forecasters and business strategists. In addition, TCEA's closing keynote speaker, Don Knezek, CEO of the International Society for Technology in Education, will share his insight in technology planning and implementation.
