InfoComm '04 Offers Array of AV Technologies for Educators

Educators will find opportunities to explore the impact of new audiovisual and presentation technologies in classrooms - from whiteboards to Web sites - at this year's InfoComm (www.infocomm.org). Known as the trade show for AV communications professionals, InfoComm '04 will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from June 5-11.

Working with numerous partners, the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA), InfoComm's sponsor, will present the most extensive, diverse array of seminars, courses, workshops and other educational programs, including many being offered for the first time at InfoComm.

These offerings range from two-hour seminars to extensive three-day training workshops. Many of this year's courses also have been designed specifically for educators, including nearly 20 separate higher education and K-12 programs as part of an EduComm Conference within InfoComm. The EduComm courses will help district administrators and education technology managers bring the benefits of advanced AV, multimedia, and information technologies to their schools and campuses.

In addition, ICIA's InfoComm Academy and Institute for Professional Development will hold more than 100 seminars and workshops providing hands-on, in-depth training; the show's Super Tuesday event will include six full-day training seminars; and special technology pavilions will offer courses in collaborative conferencing, professional lighting and staging, as well as streaming media.
