Late Breaks

LearnStar (www.learnstar.com) was recently used as part of a project funded by a $100,000 National Science Foundation grant to study the use of instructional technology tools in designated math, chemistry and psychology courses at Texas Tech University. The results of the project showed that students who used LearnStar throughout their coursework received higher test scores than those who took the same course without using LearnStar. In addition, more than 95% of the students — consisting of calculus students and education majors who plan to teach middle school — who used LearnStar said they would use LearnStar again.
