JASON Becomes a Subsidiary of National Geographic Society

The JASON Foundation for Education (JFE) has announced the completion of a reorganization that made it a nonprofit subsidiary of the National Geographic Society (http://www.nationalgeographic.com). Having been partners for more than 16 years, the two organizations hope that their new, stronger relationship will expand JFE programs into more classrooms, provide professional development opportunities to more teachers, as well as develop new classroom technologies by maintaining all JFE partnerships with government agencies, private corporations, and nonprofit organizations. As part of the agreement, students and teachers will still continue accessing all JFE content through its main Web site (www.JASON.org).
