MITSUBISHI IS ROLLING OUT three new projectors. On the highend side, the company is introducing the XL650U, which uses Mitsubishi’s new inorganic LCD panels, designed to last longer than previous-generation LCD panels and offering more durability and color consistency. Also shipping is the XL550U. It offers a brightness of 3,100 ANSI lumens, a resolution of 1024 x 768, and a contrast ratio of 400:1. On the more rudimentary end of the projector spectrum, the SD105U is debuting. The education budgetfriendly SVGA (800 x 600 resolution), single-chip, DLP-based projector offers a contrast ratio of 1,800:1 and a brightness of 1,600 ANSI lumens.
