Stanford, IFL Introducing $50 Handheld to Mexico Students

Stanford University School of Education and Innovations for Learning, a Chicago-based nonprofit, have entered into a social entrepreneurship collaboration to bring the $50 Teachermate Handheld Computer to extremely underserved children in Latin America.

Virginia Contracts with Infinite Campus for Student Information System

The Virginia Department of Education and the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (a program designed to help consolidate Virginia's IT infrastructure) have signed on with Infinite Campus to allow districts in the state to purchase the Infinite Campus student information system (SIS) without the need for an RFP.

NetSupport School 10 Expands Collaboration Features

NetSupport this week released a major update to NetSupport School, the company's classroom monitoring and control suite. Version 10 includes a variety of enhancements to existing features and adds several new ones, including a teacher toolbar, tech console, and student journals.

ePortfolio software developer Digication is teaming up with systems designer Whipplehill Communications to launch new ePortfolio services for their customers.
