Interactive Technology Provider Will Offer Training Guides in 11 Languages
Beginning in late February, teaching technology provider mimio will offer its Quick Learn reference and learning guides in 11 languages in order to make interactive technology more accessible throughout the world. The company made the announcement at FETC, being held this week in Orlando, FL.
The Quick Learn guides comprise an online series to train educators in how to use and make the most of their interactive whiteboards and student response systems. With the new multilingual enhancement, educators will be able to access video tutorials conducted in their own respective languages by native speakers. In addition, mimioConnect, the resource and communication network for users of the company's products, is offered in several languages, and the community will provide online moderators, all native speakers of each respective language, to facilitate users in accessing all of the features and functionality of the site.
mimioConnect offers lesson plans, best practices, and hands-on activities for all grades and subjects. The site currently has more than 14,000 members, a number the company said it hopes will keep growing as users of the technology who speak other languages begin to take advantage of its resources.
