Pearson Launches Blended Assessment Tool

The Assessment for Learning (A4L) group of Pearson has released Limelight, an application for student assessment in reading, history, social studies, math, science, and technology.

Limelight includes access to an item bank with 30,000 entries aligned to individual state standards, plus a customizable teacher bank for test question generation. The release also features Web-based reports that can be organized by student achievement in accordance with various reporting requirements, as well as support for real-time results reporting for use in student academic intervention plans.

Testing can be administered online, through interactive whiteboard or student response system, or on paper.

Pearson will be at the International Society for Technology in Education conference (ISTE 2010) June 27 to 30 in Denver, CO. Additional details are available here.
