Maple 14 Expands Collaboration Through MapleCloud Document Exchange

MapleSoft has released Maple 14, an application designed for mathematical education and research, and MapleSim 4, a modeling tool for engineering projects.

In addition to displaying mathematical expressions in the conventional form as would appear in a textbook, Maple evaluates functions and can provide a plot of the associated graph in 2D or 3D space. The new version, Maple 14, includes upgrades to the task template, math, engineering, and search tools, plus the ability to create and share documents with other Maple users through the MapleCloud Document Exchange.

MapleSim provides visual representation of multibody models, manages the mathematical overhead involved, and includes a library of schematic components that can be dragged into the application and manipulated, allowing the user to create designs in less time than with a pen-and-paper approach. The new release features dynamic 3D rendering of models, expanded management tools for variable probes, a new semi-stiff solver, and various enhancements to the interface.

A single user license costs $995 per product, but discounts apply in certain circumstances. For more information on Maple, see here. More on MapleSim can be found here.
