Skoodat Launches Cloud Based Apps for Educational Data Management

Ed tech provider Skoodat has launched a suite of cloud-based software applications aimed at making data management more efficient and less costly for schools, districts, and states. Built on the Force.com platform, which was created for building and operating cloud-based apps, Skoodat Exodus consists a range of customizable applications covering the full spectrum of an educational institution's data management needs.

At the ISTE 2010 conference, being held this week in Denver, Skoodat introduced Exodus, along with its full line of data applications, including:

  • Enrollment;
  • Registration;
  • Calendars and scheduling;
  • Attendance;
  • Health management (including immunizations);
  • Room, parking, and locker assignments;
  • Subjects, courses, classes, and sessions; and
  • Assignments and grading.

All information is automatically linked in a way that's designed to produce easily accessible real-time snapshots and reports and is shared across all applications via Skoodat's Education Performance Platform. In addition, a wealth of third-party applications, from such providers as Force.com App Exchange and Google Apps, can be integrated with Exodus. The user entity's data collection are automatically linked with these applications as well.
